Seen on television, on the small screens of your cab, interviewing on the red carpet or even around the neighborhood with her son – it does not even top the vast qualities Raina Seitel has.
After graduating Cum Laude with a Journalism degree from Tulane University, Raina set out to accomplish her goal of becoming a successful journalist. With 15 years of experience at CNN, ABC and NBC, Raina has profiled and interviewed well-known celebrities and public figures such as Madonna, Meryl Streep, Bill Clinton, Denzel Washington, Christie Brinkley, Dolly Parton, Tommy Hilfiger, Vera Wang, Hugh Jackman, Clive Davis, Michael Jordan, Brad Pitt, and Rudy Giuliani to name a few. Her hard work has ultimately led her to winning an Emmy.
Raina has also served as co-founder and co-host of the NBC-produced, nationally syndicated TV show, “Moms and The City & A Dad named David,” and co-hosted the celebrity talk show, “Naughty But Nice with Rob Shuter” on HDNet (now AXS).
Using her style and entertainment expertise, Raina has served as a spokesperson for many blue-chip brands via Satellite Media Tours and live media appearances including Dole, Electrolux, Netflix, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Atlantic City Tourist Board, Energizer, Equinox, K. Hovnanian and Staples. Raina has also worked as a master of ceremonies for various events and conferences, and has contributed as a contributing writer to NYDailyNews.com, Social Life Magazine, METRO Newspaper and others.
Currently, Raina serves as an entertainment and lifestyle host and correspondent for a number of media outlets. Her segments range from tasting the cuisine at the newest restaurants in NYC, profiling the hottest fashion designers, trying the newest fitness craze and showcasing upscale apartment listings. It’s quite evident that Raina’s experiences have led her to become an expert on fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Today, Raina can be seen hosting segments on NBC’s “New York Live”, as well as other NBC platforms.
Raina will also be co-starring on a new docu-series called “City Girl Diaries”. The show focuses on the lives of several, real-life friends as they navigate exciting, high profile professions, friendships and personal achievements in New York City. Following Raina, the show chronicles her life as a TV-personality as she covers entertainment, red carpet, beauty, fashion and lifestyle – all while juggling her life as a single working mom who is trying to raise her son, find love and get to the next level in her career. The docu-series is scheduled to air Summer 2013 on The Style Network.
A former competitive dancer and lover of Broadway, Raina continues to channel her love of the arts into her work. When not busy working in the media, Raina switches gears and devotes her time to her son, Hunter. Raina and Hunter share an apartment in Manhattan with their long-haired Chihuahua, Theo.
